Vehicle Pre-Purchase Inspections

If you are buying a second-hand car and want to make sure there are no hidden surprises, then contact KarPro Tyre & Auto to perform a Pre-Purchase Inspection.

This is a fully comprehensive inspection report which involves a thorough examination of all mechanical components of the vehicle while also inspecting the bodywork, paintwork, interior and under structure for any evidence of damage or unsatisfactory repairs.

We use the vehicle’s electronic control unit to check for fault codes, followed by a road test. Once you have purchased your vehicle, you must make sure it is registered and road-worthy every year.

e-Safety Check / Pink Slip

The e-safety inspection report is to prove your car is roadworthy. All vehicles more than five years old require a safety inspection as a condition of registration renewal.

Your registration renewal notice will advise you if your vehicle needs an inspection. To secure a pink slip, you need to take your vehicle to an Authorised Inspection Station (AIS). KarPro Tyre & Auto are an approved Authorised Inspection Station that will carry out all necessary checks to ensure your vehicle qualifies for a Pink Slip.

The pink slip will be sent to the RMS electronically by an Authorised Inspection Station. You will be able to renew your registration online or by phone conveniently.

White Slip

A White Slip is essentially an inspection report rejection slip that details the repairs required before a vehicle can be registered. Once the repairs are carried out and the vehicle re-inspected, the vehicle will receive a pink or blue slip.

Driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle attracts on-the-spot fines and license’s demerit points. If the matter goes to court, the court can impose heavy penalties for driving an unregistered and uninsured vehicle.
